Your Mission at Unilever

Job Purpose:
Are you ready to make a difference? As a Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) professional at Unilever, you’ll take on a pivotal role in shaping sustainable practices, ensuring workplace safety, and driving environmental excellence. From reducing environmental impacts to implementing innovative safety programs, this is your chance to create a lasting impact.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Set New Standards: Deploy Unilever’s Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Environmental Care Framework standards to drive excellence across the site.
• Capability Building: Develop training programs to empower employees and management with critical SHE knowledge.
• Environmental Impact: Lead initiatives to minimize waste, water, and energy consumption while reducing carbon emissions. Champion the Zero Waste to Landfill Program from planning to execution.
• Safety Leadership: Drive the Unilever Behavioral Based Safety (BeSafE) Program and establish robust procedures for contractor safety, equipment commissioning, and process safety risk management.
• Compliance and Audits: Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory and Unilever-specific SHE requirements. Conduct audits and share insights to foster continuous improvement.
• Incident Management: Collaborate with crisis teams to investigate and analyze incidents, near misses, and safe behavior observations.
• Process Optimization: Lead SHE strategies during new project setups, assembly, and commissioning stages.

What You Bring to the Role

Essential Qualifications:

• Experience in supply chain operations with at least 2 years in manufacturing or chemical engineering.
• Strong analytical thinking and project management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior FMCG experience.
• Expertise in project and operations setup.
• Postgraduate training in SHE disciplines, along with ISO 45001 & 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
