The Role: Maintenance Engineer

Job Purpose
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our factory. You’ll lead maintenance activities, optimize equipment efficiency, and contribute to Unilever’s mission of operational excellence.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Safety First: Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and protocols while cultivating a culture of responsibility among your team.
• Optimize Performance: Enhance equipment efficiency to consistently deliver top-quality products.
• Leadership: Manage and guide the engineering and maintenance teams to meet safety, quality, and cost-efficiency goals.
• Boost Machine Availability: Drive high performance through effective maintenance strategies.
• Support Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in UMS steering committees and champion factory enhancement initiatives.
• Maintenance Planning: Prioritize and coordinate maintenance tasks, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
• Spare Parts Management: Oversee spare part needs and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Technical Innovations: Spearhead engineering improvement projects and implement modifications to address weaknesses.
• Upskill Your Team: Develop training programs to elevate technical skills and boost efficiency.
• Problem-Solving Expert: Assist technicians in troubleshooting and ensure high-quality execution of maintenance tasks.
• Digital Efficiency: Manage and optimize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to streamline operations.
• Process Safety Leadership: Lead site process safety initiatives to meet all regulatory and company standards.

What Makes You a Perfect Fit?

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics background is a must).
• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a factory environment.
• Certification in Process Safety or Sustainability (a plus).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in FMCG operations.
• Expertise in RCA (Root Cause Analysis), SAP, CMMS, problem-solving, decision-making, and team collaboration.
